If you are not home and someone came to visit you and are standing outside in the cold waiting for you and you want to unlock the door for that person who doesn't have a physical key, a pin code or a fingerprint set up you can unlock the door through the Alexa app from anywhere using your mobile data.

Be sure to tell Alexa to unlock the correct door if you have multiple door lock set up with the Alexa app in your home. Also, make sure to provide a pin to unlock the door with Alexa.

On the other hand, you can create a one time pin code  and give it to the person before you step out of the house.
